Graeme started his career in 1981 in a large Christchurch accountancy practice. He joined Grant Thornton in 1984.

Graeme received extensive training in Computer Audit techniques while seconded to Grant Thornton in the United Kingdom and has trained Grant Thornton staff across Asia on the Grant Thornton audit methodology and audit tools.

Graeme has particular expertise in matters relating to the issue of securities to the public and public listed entities. He has vast experience in the audit of registers of securities and securities registrars. Other sectors in which Graeme has expertise include:

  • Public issuers
  • Family owned companies
  • Charities and not-for-profit organisations
  • Private training establishments
  • Finance companies

He is responsible for the auditing of a range of significant commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

Outside interests

Graeme is currently involved with his family in skiing and ski racing. He is on the Board of his local secondary school and an independent board member on a charitable company in the education sector.  He works weekends as a volunteer ski patroller during the winter.
