Stacey is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and a member of both the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Stacey started her career in chartered accounting in 1993, before relocating to Sydney, Australia in 1998 where she worked in a large mid-tier chartered accounting firm. She joined Grant Thornton New Zealand in 2002, after four years in Sydney and became a Partner in 2009.
During her time in Australia, Stacey helped her clients come to grips with the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) regime, including implementing appropriate accounting systems to assist with the reporting requirements.
Stacey has a number of years experience providing accounting, financial reporting, taxation, business structures, systems and business advice. She has also assisted clients with the accounting support work required with the sale or purchase of a business, as well as bank financing requirements, budgeting, forecasts and business plans.
Stacey works with a variety of ownership structures, with a diverse range of sizes and business activities. Most of these are owner operated or family enterprises, which is an aspect of the job she particularly enjoys.
Outside the office, Stacey enjoys travelling, spending time with family – which includes her young daughter - and friends, and making the most of the great kiwi outdoor lifestyle.
