Leana joined Grant Thornton in 2006 and is a member of the business and special advisory services teams.
Leana has had 18 years experience in both the professional services and medium sized business sectors. Leana spent 10 years working for a large accounting firm in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Indonesia. She then spent five years helping to manage a family business through death, succession and a subsequent sale.

Leana provides proactive solutions and advice on complex business problems and situations for clients, across diverse industries and specialisations. It is her ability to analyse and synthesise information and problems for clients, integrating knowledge from all facets and disciplines of accountancy and finance. Leana assists clients by effective planning and offering solutions to help make their business work better.
Leana works closely with Advanced Business Education Limited (a subsidiary of NZICA) to facilitate the post graduate education programmes that accountancy graduates must complete prior to admissions to NZICA.
Outside the profession Leana spends her time raising two school aged children, Lauren and George, with her husband Mark. She also road cycles, runs, enjoys reading, shopping and movies.
