Bill is an associate in the corporate finance division of Grant Thornton New Zealand which specialises in all areas of corporate finance.
The focus of Bill’s work is providing advice in the areas of share and business valuations, economic loss assessments, and other commercial matters subject to litigation or dispute for both listed and private companies of varying sizes. Bill provides valuation advice for financial reporting purposes under the provisions of NZ IFRS.
He has appeared as an expert financial witness before the courts and other dispute resolution forums. Bill also provides advice in the areas of independent adviser and independent appraisal reports, and has completed a number of reports under the Takeovers Code.
Bill is a regular presenter on valuation topics at conferences run by NZICA and other major conference organisers.
Bill had gained more than 14 years experience as a corporate finance specialist. Bill has worked within corporate finance units of a ‘Big 4’ accountancy firm and has also held corporate finance roles in large, listed companies where he was involved in strategic analysis and development, merger and acquisition projects and business partnering projects.
Bill is a long term rugby supporter and regularly plays golf.
